Embark on an exhilarating 10-day adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of Ladakh, starting from Delhi. This journey offers an unforgettable mix of culture, nature, and exploration. Fly over the majestic Himalayas and land in Leh, where you’ll experience the stunning scenery and acclimate to the high altitude. The tour includes excursions to ancient monasteries like Phyang and Spituk Gompa, offering glimpses into the region’s rich spiritual heritage.

The trekking segment takes you through remote villages, serene valleys, and high mountain passes. From Zinchen to Rumbak, you’ll enjoy gradual treks with spectacular views. The adventure continues with a challenging ascent to Stok-la (4,900m), followed by a scenic trek to Mankarmo, a shepherd village. The highlight is reaching Lharsi, the base of the Stok Kangri Peaks, where you can explore the glacier region. The journey concludes with a descent to Stok and a drive back to Leh, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Ladakh’s rugged beauty.

Itinerary

The flight over the Himalayas and the landing in Leh is an adventure in itself and even when you are tired from your long journey, that experience will wake you right up. Our guide is already waiting for at the airport in Leh and will bring you to your guesthouse/Hotel. On the first day you can relax and only relax to better acclimatize to the high altitude. (It is a conscious decision not having planned any activities on the first day, it is crucial for your adaptation to the high altitude!) Overnight : Hotel Meal : BB Elevation : 3500m

Morning free. Afternoon excursion to Phyang Gompa. This Gompa is 20 kms from Leh on the right side of Leh-Srinagar road. The beautiful statues and Thankas are worth seeing. Also visit Spituk Gompa which lies on the right side of Srinagar-Leh road about 6 kms short of Leh Proper. Some very interesting Thankas are pride of this monastery. After early breakfast drive to Spituk and after visiting Spituk Gompa start trekking along the Indus River on a fairly easy trek to Zinchen will be covered in about 4 hrs. Meals and overnight in tents at Zinchen. Overnight : Camp Meal : BLD Elevation : 3700m

Trek to Rumbak, which again is a gradual trek and will be covered in about 4 hrs. Meals and overnight in tents at Rumbak. Overnight : Camp Meal : BLD Elevation :4200 m

Track follows the beautiful gentle sloping valley and then a very steep ascend to Stok-la (4900 Mts.) descend to meet the river coming from the Stok Khangri massif and then trek to Mankarmo which is a shepherd village with 3 to 4 houses. Trek to Lharsi (4800 Mts.) via Yarlus. The first few kms are of gradual walk then the trial is ascending up to Lharsi. The total distance will be covered in about 4 hrs. Lharsi is the base of Stok Khangri Peaks. Dinner overnight at Lharsi in tents. Overnight : Camp Meal : BLD Elevation : m

Explore the surroundings or trek up to Glacier of Khangri Peaks Lunch/ Dinner overnight at Lharsi in Tents. Overnight : Camp Meal : BLD Elevation : m

Trek down to Stok and after visiting Stok Palace drive to Leh. Dinner overnight in hotel at Leh Overnight : HoteL Meal : BB Elevation : 3500 m
