The flight over the Himalayas and the landing in Leh is an adventure in itself and even when you are tired from your long journey, that experience will wake you right up. Our guide is already waiting for at the airport in Leh and will bring you to your guesthouse/Hotel. On the first day you can relax and only relax to better acclimatize to the high altitude. Transfer by road to Taktok. Picnic on the spot then 2/3 hour walk to the villages to join Chemre.We continue to Hemis is the largest monastery in Ladakh spiritually. It groups under the authority of more than 500 monks. Built in 1605, its location has preserved the looting. Back to Leh, Overnight : Hotel Meal : BB Elevation : 3500 m
We leave Leh to join Likir (1:30), the starting point of our small traveling trek. We gradually ascend and cross two small passes before reaching Yangtang, a pretty village of about twenty houses. We settle the bivouac nearby. 400 m - 300 m Number of hours walk: 3-4 hrs. Overnight : Guest House Meal : BB Elevation : 3400 m
We start the day by a flat half-hour and then gradual climb to the Col de Sarmathangla (3880 m). Then we have a small descent to Hemis Shukpachen. The village takes its name from juniper forests which serve to fumigation offerings to local deities. On the way many small chortens remind us that we are in a Buddhist country, where religion is part of everyday life ladhaki .. After drinking tea with our guests of the day (and Angchok Tsering), we will visit the small monastery, where we have a view overlooking the village. We walk the first hour on flat and after a short descent, we climb to the Col de Mebtak to 3830 m. Then descent to Ang and Temisgam. The trail is carved into the rock ocher, pink and purple (ophiolite) reminding us that the Himalayas appeared there are some fifty million years on the waters of the Sea of Tethys. After breakfast, we visit the monastery of Temisgam from where we can enjoy a panoramic view of the snowy peaks to the north of the Indus valley. Then we go by vehicle to reach Lamayuru by a beautiful winding road. Lunch with our hosts, then visit the Lamayuru monastery (eleventh century) which has three important temples perched on a rock overlooking the village. This is the most beautiful day of hiking in terms of scenery. The color of the rocks changes depending on daylight and contrasts with the green of the village of Lamayuru. We climb up Prinkiti La pass (3700 m). After a good rest we start our descent to Wangla. We head to the village of Phanjila ( 3250 m ), situated at the entrance to the Hinju valley. The fields and the apricot orchards extend for two to three KM before the trail enters a series of narrow, dry gorges below Hinju village ( 3680 m ), the main village consists of about 15 houses, some with solar heating. From camp there is a steady climb past a number of goat enclosures to the base of the pass the ascent to the pass is quite steep but is compensated by impressive views east towards an outer rim to the Zanskar range and the eastern Karakoram. From the Kunzeski la ( 4900 m ) there are views to the Ladakh range. While to the east the stom range and the main ridges of the Zanskar range can be seen. The descent from the pass is quite steep over loose moraine to an ill- defined trail that leads past a series of Yok herder’s camps that are occupied during the summer months by village from the nearby village and gradually descend to the village of Sumdo Chanmo. There is a small monastery close to the village with some large stone statues of the Maitreya Buddha. Overnight in Home stay. Overnight : Camp Meal : BLD Elevation : 3800 m
Today a long and gradual descend walk towards Sumda Do. The trail leads to the south, with spectacular views down to the the Zanskar river. And drive to Leh. Overnight: Hotel Meal : BB Elevation : 3500 m

This trek is moderate to challenging, requiring good physical fitness. It involves long walking days and high-altitude passes.
The best trekking months are from June to September when the weather is stable and the trails are clear
The highest point on the trek is Kunzeski La Pass at 4,900 meters.
