Your journey begins with a spectacular flight over the Himalayas, landing in Leh (3,500m). The first day is dedicated to relaxation and acclimatization, allowing you to adjust to the high altitude. On day two, you’ll explore the cultural and historical landmarks of Leh, including the Hall of Fame Museum, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and the Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to defy gravity. You’ll also witness the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers and visit Alchi and Lamayuru monasteries, surrounded by the surreal moon-like landscape.
The adventure continues with a scenic drive to Nubra Valley via the famous Khardung La Pass (5,359m), the highest motorable road in the world. Here, you’ll visit Diskit Monastery, explore the villages of Hunder and Diskit, and enjoy a unique two-humped camel ride on the sand dunes. From Nubra, the journey leads to Sakti via Warila Pass, where you’ll encounter panoramic views of the Zanskar range and spot yaks and Himalayan marmots grazing in the meadows.
On day five, you’ll visit the mesmerizing Pangong Lake, driving through the Changla Pass (5,360m). The lake, stretching over 120 km, offers a mesmerizing view with its shimmering blue waters reflecting the towering mountains. You’ll enjoy a peaceful outing along the lake’s banks before heading back to Leh. The tour concludes with a flight back to your destination, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Ladakh’s natural beauty and cultural richness.
The flight over the Himalayas and the landing in Leh is an adventure in itself and even when you are tired from your long journey, that experience will wake you right up. Our guide is already waiting for at the airport in Leh and will bring you to your guesthouse/Hotel. On the first day you can relax and only relax to better acclimatize to the high altitude. After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing on the Leh – Srinagar Highway. Visit the Hall of Fame (A Museum developed by the Indian Army), Kali Mata Temple & Gurudwara Patthar Sahib (A Gurudwara constructed & maintained by the Indian Army). Proceed further and experience the effects of Magnetic Hill (Defiance of the law of gravity wherein a vehicle starts climbing up the hill when put in a neutral position) and admire the confluence of holy Indus & Zanskar. Visit Alchi Monastery, Lamayuru Monastery and Thiksey and some snaps of the moonlandscape. Return back to Leh for an overnight stay. Overnight : Hotel Meals : BB Elevation : 3500 m
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley (Known as the Valley of Flowers and the warmest region in Ladakh) via Khardungla pass. This road is considered to be the highest motorable road of the world. En route, admire the spectacular views of Karakoram range, the never ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardungla Pass (18,380 feet). After spending some time at Khardungla, proceed down to Nubra. After Hotel check-in, visit Diskit monastery enjoy two hump camel ride in the evening. Overnight stay in Nubra. After breakfast, visit Diskit & Hunder Villages take a stroll around the place to see the life style of people living at the northernmost region of India. Drive back to sakti via Warila ( 5200 mts approx) along Shyok river at the base of Warila you will find lots of yak pasturing and Himalayan marmots. From the top of the pass panoramic and spectacular view of Zanskar range including kangyatse peak 6400 M. In the evening visit Taktok monastery this is the only monastery of ancient Nyingmapa sect in Ladakh. Overnight stay in Sakti. Overnight : Hotel Meals : BLD Elevation : 3800 m
After an early breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake via Changla Pass (17,586 feet) the third highest pass of the world. Pangong Lake is a salt water body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is divided by the international border between India & China (1/3 of the lake is in China’s control). Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots”. Enjoy outing along the banks of the lake and then drive back to Leh on the way visit Thiksey monastery one the most beautiful monastery in Ladakh called small Lhasa at the summit of the hill founded in 1430.
