Your adventure begins with a scenic flight over the Himalayas, landing in Leh (3,500m). The first day is dedicated to relaxation and acclimatization, allowing you to adjust to the high altitude. On day two, you’ll explore the highlights of Leh, including the Hall of Fame Museum, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and the Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to defy gravity. You’ll also witness the stunning confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers and visit the serene Alchi and Lamayuru monasteries, known for their ancient frescoes and moon-like landscapes.
On day three, you’ll head to the enchanting Nubra Valley via the Khardung La Pass (5,359m), the highest motorable road in the world. In Nubra, you’ll visit the Diskit Monastery, enjoy a two-humped camel ride across the sand dunes of Hunder, and experience the region’s serene beauty. The next day takes you through the scenic Warila Pass (5,200m) to Sakti, where you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the Zanskar range and encounter yak pastures and Himalayan marmots. You’ll also visit the ancient Taktok Monastery, the only monastery of the Nyingmapa sect in Ladakh.
On day five, you’ll visit the stunning Pangong Lake, driving through the Changla Pass (5,360m). The lake, stretching over 120 km, offers a mesmerizing view with its shimmering blue waters against the backdrop of rugged mountains. After enjoying the scenery, you’ll return to Leh, stopping at Thiksey Monastery, known for its picturesque hilltop architecture. The tour concludes with a flight back to your destination, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Ladakh’s beauty and charm.
The flight over the Himalayas and the landing in Leh is an adventure in itself and even when you are tired from your long journey, that experience will wake you right up. Our guide is already waiting for at the airport in Leh and will bring you to your guesthouse/Hotel. On the first day you can relax and only relax to better acclimatize to the high altitude. After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing on the Leh – Srinagar Highway. Visit the Hall of Fame (A Museum developed by the Indian Army), Kali Mata Temple & Gurudwara Patthar Sahib (A Gurudwara constructed & maintained by the Indian Army). Proceed further and experience the effects of Magnetic Hill (Defiance of the law of gravity wherein a vehicle starts climbing up the hill when put in a neutral position) and admire the confluence of holy Indus & Zanskar. After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley (Known as the Valley of Flowers and the warmest region in Ladakh) via Khardungla pass. This road is considered to be the highest motorable road of the world. En route, admire the spectacular views of Karakoram range the never ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardungla Pass (18,380 feet). After spending some time at Khardungla, proceed down to Nubra. After Hotel check-in, visit Diskit monastery enjoy two hump camel ride in the evening. Overnight stay in Nubra. After breakfast, visit Diskit & Hunder Villages take a stroll around the place to see the lifestyle of people living at the northernmost region of India. Drive back to sakti via Warila ( 5200 mts approx) along Shayok river at the base of Warila you will find lots of yak pasturing and Himalayan marmots. From the top of the pass panoramic and spectacular view of Zanskar range including kngyatse peak 6400 M. In the evening visit Taktok monestry this is the only monestry of ancient Nyingmapa sect in Ladakh. Overnight stay in Sakti. Overnight : Hotel Meals : BLD Elevation : 3700 m
After an early breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake via Changla Pass (17,586 feet) the third highest pass of the world. Pangong Lake is a salt water body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is divided by the international border between India & China (1/3 of the lake is in China’s control). Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots”. Enjoy outing along the banks of the lake and then drive back to Leh on the way visit Thiksey monastery, one the the most beautiful monastery in Ladakh called small Lhasa at the summit of the hill founded in 1430.
